Age Friendly University

In May of 2017, Central became the first university in Connecticut to join the Age-Friendly University global network. Central is poised to respond to the educational needs and interests of this growing group through the development of new opportunities and innovative practices in teaching, research, and community engagement.

Discounted Children's Meals

Central has worked with Sodexo and will be publishing a new rate for children 11 and under of $6.00 per meal for the residential dining halls. The rate change is effective immediately.

Lactation Rooms

In order to better support our students, staff, and faculty who are also new mothers who wish to breast-feed their baby, Central is pleased to provide lactation rooms.

Maria's Place Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is an initiative of the Newman House at Central in collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement, Campus of Compassion and the Food Pantry Committee.

Women's Center, Ruthe Boyea

This center exists to provide resources, to advocate, to inform, and to support personal development. The Center offers a variety of services for and about women. We sponsor educational and cultural programs designed to promote gender equity, knowledge of women's rights issues, leadership, and independence.

Drop-In Childcare Center

The Drop-In Childcare Center's mission is to provide a high-quality, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate educational experiences for children ages 3-12 years old, that is easily accessible and supportive to the needs of our Central students, faculty, and staff.
