Biography

Dr. King received her doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from Boston University. She also has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College. Dr. King has been on CCSU's faculty since 2003. She is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Counselor Education and Family Therapy Department and Coordinator of the Advanced Official Certificate Program in Professional Counseling (OCP).

She has over 35 years of experience in the counseling field as a practitioner in various capacities including mental health, rehabilitation, disability management, and as a forensic rehabilitation expert. She is a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Certified Disability Management specialist (CDMS).
