Biography

Jeffrey B. Teitler is a 2022, Emmy® Award winning Film Director and Professor of Filmmaking.  Holding degrees from Yale University’s, Yale School of Drama and New York University’s, Tisch School of the Arts, Teitler's work focuses on Public Health and the Arts.  As a filmmaker-in-residence at Hartford HealthCare, Teitler's productions have been distributed through, MedscapeWebMD and in film festivals throughout the country.  His documentaries have been presented at top-tier public health institutes including, the Center’s For Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC), Harvard School of Law,  Harvard School of Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Saint Louis Children’s Hospital to name a few..  Film festival credits include, the Lower East Side Film Festival, NYC – Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards, Awareness Film Festival, Amnesty International, San Francisco Dance On Film Festival (MORE),     Teitler is also a ‘22 Folio Magazine Award Winner in ’22 as well as an Eddie And Ozzie winner in '21.   Currently, Teitler serves as a Full Professor of Production and Performance studies within Central Connecticut State University.  Envision Films -  www.envisionfilms.org

COVIDLAND: A Film About Survival and Hope in the ICU

EMMY® AWARD Winner from theNational Academy of Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Boston New England Region/.  During the height of the pandemic, critical care physician, Megan Panico and her ICU team at Hartford Hospital selflessly cared for on onslaught of Connecticut’s most critical COVID-19 patients.  Sacrificing their own health and family needs, COVIDLAND is an intimate portrait of courage and hope during the greatest healthcare crisis of our time.
